I’m Julie Smith, Chief Inspiration Officer. I’m a certified health, leadership, and life coach. It is my professional mission to empower people to create positive change and greater well-being so they can lead themselves and the organizations and families they serve. And when an organization’s employees experience well-being, you create a healthy, vibrant organization that experiences greater engagement and performance.
When we think of wellness, we often simply think of the absence of illness and about eating healthy and getting plenty of exercise. Good things for sure. But wellness is more than that. This is why my message focuses on well-being in our lives, our leadership, and organizations.
Well-being is a broader concept that encompasses how people think and feel about, and experience, their everyday lives. It weaves together overall personal and professional effectiveness and fulfillment with physical vitality, mental clarity, and social connection..
We lead such busy lives today. We (and others) hold ever-increasing expectations of our time and our performance. The Gallup organization shares that while 66% of people are doing well in at least one of their Elements of Well-being (Career, Social, Physical, Financial, and Community) only 7% are thriving in all five areas.
If we struggle in any of these areas, like most of us do, it damages and wears on our life and overall well-being. When we strengthen any of these areas, we do better, but we thrive when we can be effective in all of them. As a leader, business owner, volunteer, and working mom, I’ve experienced these challenges all too well myself. Read about my personal journey toward well-being.
Why Inspired?
Because we are ultimately compelled to create positive change and greater overall well-being when we are inspired and drawn forward by our Noble Goal… when change is for a purpose that feels personally meaningful. I’ve learned this first-hand and observed it many times over in working with clients. There is no amount of “knowing” or being told we “should” do something that will cause us to do what it takes to change. It must come from within.
My Noble Goal
My Noble Goal or purpose is to affirm, inspire and empower personal growth and well-being in those around me. This purpose encompasses every area of my life. It’s been a part of who I am since I was a child. I can help you discover your Noble Goal too.
I empower individuals, groups and organizations to…
- Gain clarity and focus;
- Find insight, connection and purpose;
- Build trust and engagement;
- Increase self-awareness, make meaningful decisions and informed goal setting;
- Develop the learnable and measurable skills of emotional intelligence for greater effectiveness, well-being, relationships, and quality of life;
- Increase physical health and vitality by empowering them to create a healthy lifestyle and consistently make choices that lead to physical transformation and increased energy.
Coaching with EQ Creates Meaning and Possibility.
The changing world and culture that surrounds us today, and the rising tide of chronic illness, creates a great demand for leadership, health and life coaching. Organizational leaders and people in their personal lives share a need for insight, connection, and purpose… at work, in life, and in their health journey. By integrating emotional intelligence into the coaching process, I help clients achieve their goals.
We strengthen essential emotional intelligence skills to increase trust and connection, and create well-being in our organizations, our leadership, and in our lives.
My Role as Leader
An experienced marketplace leader, I strive to bring excellence, integrity, and purpose to everything that I do.
For more than twelve years I worked in the corporate world in Human Resources management, and training and development. I’ve worked on the teams of numerous multi-million-dollar business coaches and speakers, leading teams and managing marketing efforts. In 2003, I became a business owner and I’ve worked with entrepreneurs and nonprofits as a marketing coach and consultant.
As a leadership and life coach, I believe we are all leaders – in our work, our families, our communities – every place where we have influence. It is my honor to inspire others to clarify their vision and purpose, and to build upon their strengths as individuals and leaders so that they may impact and effectively lead others in transformational ways.
I also believe that in order to live and lead with strength, purpose and impact we must be fit to serve. As a life and health coach, it is my passion to help others create greater well-being so that they thrive physically, emotionally and socially, and become free to serve with a sense of purpose in family, work, and community.
