Be still and listen inside yourself. As we step into 2022, like every year my thoughts turn to possibilities and what I’d like to change and accomplish. This year is no different. Yet, you and I… we’ve been through a lot in the last two years. We all have.
Be still for just a moment. Where do you feel that the most? In your body? Your heart? In racing thoughts or limiting beliefs?
Maybe you’re feeling pressure to get back on track.
Or maybe you feel like you need to make up for lost time.
Perhaps it’s a pressure you feel to not go back to the way things were before the pandemic.
Whatever it is, if you’re like me, you like to feel as if you’re in control.
One thing I’ve learned over time, that was introduced in new ways these last two years, is that sometimes you don’t feel that sense of control.
From Chaos to Calm
You learn to trust and to allow.
It doesn’t mean you sit back passively and take no action. Rather, it means that first you take the time to be still and open your heart, your head, and your hands to whatever may come.
You get curious. Reflect on the stories you tell yourself and examine if they’re true.
You might explore your feelings, below the surface, and what information they provide.
Ponder what’s really important to you in your life and how you want to show up for that and for those you love.
Maybe instead of starting with a To Do list this year, consider how you want To Be.
Every year, we hear the promotions and read the headlines of “new year, new you.”
Let’s try this… “New year, I’m alright, and I’m going to treat myself with kindness, compassion and respect”.
Just for a moment, take a deep breath.
What do you need today?
- Sleep
- Time to just “Be”
- Calm and clarity
- A greater sense of well-being
- Supportive community
- A fresh perspective
Get quiet and listen. Listen to your body and to your heart.
Whatever comes up, I’d be honored to walk with you into this new year with a sense of openness and discovery. Schedule a conversation.
Learn it. Apply it.
- When will you make space to take a few moments to be still, to breathe, and to listen?
- What are your body and your heart telling you? What’s behind that?
- What’s most important to you?
- What do you need to support how you “BE” this year and how you show up for yourself and others?
